Social History Society conference postgraduate prize

The Society will award a Postgraduate Conference Paper Prize to begin in 2011. The prize will be £200. Any postgraduate whose paper has been accepted for inclusion in the conference programme may apply for the prize. Application takes the form of submitting a written version of their paper, of 3-4,000 words, to the administrative Secretary, by e-mail, three weeks before the conference.

Postgraduate paper prize winner 2011

WE are delighted to announce the winner of this year's postgraduate paper prize. Helen Rajabi, PhD History student at the School of Arts, Histories & Cultures, University of Manchester, presented the best paper, as judged by the committee, titled, 'Race, Religion and Empire: The Church of England and the construction of racial discourses in England, 1919-1939.' Please note the paper cannot be reproduced in whole or in part without permission of the author and the Social History Society.
